I believe this article is important and good for people to look at who have the wrong idea of Switzerland. Even though they are known for those things, they are also known for more important things as mentioned before. People tend to be ignorant because they don't know much about a topic and they have very false misconceptions about these things as well. Of course all of the cuckoo clocks and chocolate are an important part of the culture in Switzerland, but people seem to not know what the Swiss' daily life consists of and their courteous and considerate attitudes and behaviors. People who really think they know everything about Switzerland should really look at this article to give them some new information and insight on what it really is like.
I think that the way people act is a very important part of culture. In Switzerland, people are known for their very hospitable, courteous actions and attitudes. The ways of the Swiss really seem ideal in the sense that they live quite luxuriously, are very good-natured, and sanitary. For example, the article talks about how Sunday is a day for rest in Switzerland. Noisiness and chaotic work is usually not done on Sundays by the people of Switzerland. This really tells us a lot about their society and how they really advise a day of rest when the people there work so very hard to provide for a stable life for themselves and their families. In places in Subsaharan Africa where the society is generally poorer, this un-official, but recommended policy may not be of top priority because of the need to make a decent living.
